Despite Grappolo closing its restaurant doors at the end of March due to Covid 19, Hamid and his team have continued to offer customers a collection and delivery service and have been keen to support keyworker’s in the neighbouring communities. The Grappolo team have prepared and delivered free meals to groups to assist them and thank them for their commitment and dedication during these challenging times. They have freshly prepared and personally delivered delicious pasta meals for: Kirkwood Hospice, Halifax Royal Infirmary, Laurel Court Care Home, Huddersfield Fire Service, Huddersfield Ambulance Service, Huddersfield Police Station, Dalton Home, Tolson Grange, Newsome Nursing Home, Meltham Road Surgery, Grange Surgery and Shaw Pharmacy in Fartown.
£240 was also donated to Kirkwood Hospice from beer sales proceeds.
Interviewed by Pulse Radio, Hamid said ‘We hope that these meals will not only satisfy people’s hunger but create a more positive, feel good factor in these difficult times. Everyone needs to feel appreciated at these times, especially the people who are working on the frontline.’
